Decision Making Model Essay Example For Students

Decision Making Model Essay RUNNING HEAD: Decision Making Model Essay Decision Making Model MGT 350 University of Phoenix Abstract Decision making models can be very effective in problem solving. Scheduling is a big problem at Direct HomeHealth Care and a solution needed to be found. Scheduling software which can be very expensive was the only conclusion that could be reached. With much thought and analysis a resolution was reached with critical thought and a decision making model from the Small Business Development Center. Decision making models can be very helpful in analyzing a problem and setting up a step by step process to evaluate and come to a favorable conclusion. Recently there has been a problem at my agency with scheduling and the difficulty the on call schedulers have with toting around several very large scheduling books. The Small Business Development Center has a decision making model to assist with problem solving and I have chosen their web sight to aid with this problem. The first step in this decision making model is to recognize a problem exist and set a solution objective. Direct HomeHealth Cares everyday business is making sure patients are scheduled properly and taken care of by nursing assistants. There are approximately 250 patients and 250 nursing assistants. Scheduling books are used to keep track of every patient and every nursing assistant that is scheduled to see that patient. The patient books are divided up by payer source, for example, Medicaid, Social Services or private pay patients. The nursing books are categorized by discipline and alphabetized by name. These books can be very cumbersome and if they were ever lost or damaged it would be a very lengthy process to put new ones together. A new solution needed to be reached to schedule patients more efficiently. The next step would be to analyze the situation and identify key uncertainties. After thinking this problem through there was a realization that a computer program was the way to go. Computer programs can be very expensive, some around thirty thousand dollars. This would be a very large expense and I am not sure Direct HomeHealth Care is ready to spend that kind of money. A new computer program would also mean schedulers need to be trained and that could be very time-consuming. If the schedulers were not computer literate it could become very complicated. Despite the drawbacks such as expense and training this was the only workable solution. This would eliminate the heavy books and also allow for more precise and efficient patient scheduling. Gathering data is the next step in the model and several software companies were consulted. All of the companies had excellent products with very impressive features. The scheduling software not only scheduled patients but it also kept track of payroll and billing. Payroll and billing are both very important departments of Direct HomeHealth Care and the process to fulfill each task weekly is monstrous. If the software could help to alleviate these two jobs it would be a great benefit. After speaking with representatives from a number of companies an affordable solution was found with HOMETRAK. HOMETRAK is a software company that specializes in home health scheduling and the program could be purchased for a little as five thousand dollars. The software was affordable and included all of the features necessary for scheduling, payroll and billing. One of the final steps is developing a plan for implementation and implementing the plan. In order to implement the plan all of the data had to be entered into the program. This took several days due to the vast amount of information that needed to be entered. Training CDs were used by the schedulers to familiarize themselves with the new program. .u7d5b55e906fc67b64c8f69abbe9c2b80 , .u7d5b55e906fc67b64c8f69abbe9c2b80 .postImageUrl , .u7d5b55e906fc67b64c8f69abbe9c2b80 .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u7d5b55e906fc67b64c8f69abbe9c2b80 , .u7d5b55e906fc67b64c8f69abbe9c2b80:hover , .u7d5b55e906fc67b64c8f69abbe9c2b80:visited , .u7d5b55e906fc67b64c8f69abbe9c2b80:active { border:0!important; } .u7d5b55e906fc67b64c8f69abbe9c2b80 .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u7d5b55e906fc67b64c8f69abbe9c2b80 { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u7d5b55e906fc67b64c8f69abbe9c2b80:active , .u7d5b55e906fc67b64c8f69abbe9c2b80:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u7d5b55e906fc67b64c8f69abbe9c2b80 .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u7d5b55e906fc67b64c8f69abbe9c2b80 .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u7d5b55e906fc67b64c8f69abbe9c2b80 .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u7d5b55e906fc67b64c8f69abbe9c2b80 .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u7d5b55e906fc67b64c8f69abbe9c2b80:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u7d5b55e906fc67b64c8f69abbe9c2b80 .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u7d5b55e906fc67b64c8f69abbe9c2b80 .u7d5b55e906fc67b64c8f69abbe9c2b80-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u7d5b55e906fc67b64c8f69abbe9c2b80:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Breast Cancer Essay They were able to take these CDs home and were paid for a total of five hours of training. Learning Objectives free essay sample

The central idea is that each person ultimately depends on himself or herself. Integrity versus despair is the final stage of Erik Erikson’s developmental sequence, in which older adults seek to integrate their unique experiences with their vision of community. Many older people develop pride and contentment with their personal story. They are proud of their past, faults included. They realize their life is no longer measured in years since birth, but in years before death. Close family members become more important to them, and they continue to try to understand themselves focusing more on the way they will be remembered. Tension occurs between the two opposing aspects of development. Past crises, particularly identity versus role confusion, reemerge when the usual pillars of self-concept crumble. 2. The continuity theory is the theory that each person experiences the changes of late adulthood and behaves toward others in a way that is consistent with his or her behavior in earlier periods of life. We will write a custom essay sample on Learning Objectives or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page It assumes that a primary goal of adult development is adaptive change, not homeostatic equilibrium. The Big Five personality traits are maintained throughout old age as in younger years, shifting somewhat but always oriented toward the same life goals. A person’s reactions to potentially disruptive problems reflect continuity, as do attitudes toward all other topics—drugs, sex, money, neatness, privacy, health, government. One example of selective optimization is the positivity effect, which is the tendency for elderly people to perceive, prefer, and remember positive images and experiences more than negative ones. Selective memory is a way to compensate for whatever troubles occur; unpleasant experiences are reinterpreted as inconsequential. Research has found that this has both cognitive and social aspects, and in many ways, enhances life in late adulthood. While the positivity effect does not always emerge, self-perception normally tilts toward integrity rather than despair. Most people realize they could have chosen other paths through life, but they also appreciate their particular self. Research on what people hope for themselves and how they perceive themselves finds that, with age, the two selves come closer together. This may explain the contentment that older adults generally feel. 3. Another major set of theories regarding late adulthood that emphasizes the relationship between society and old age are the stratification theories. These theories emphasize that social forces, particularly those related to a person’s social stratum, or social category, limit individual choices and affect a person’s ability to function in late adulthood as past stratification continues to limit life in various ways. Individual factors—including quality of marriage and friendship, personality, and cognitive capacity—affect each person’s position in his or her society. Nonetheless, stratification theories note significant social restrictions imposed by stratification categories such as age, gender, and ethnicity. Stratification by age is demonstrated as industrialized nations segregate elderly people, gradually shunning them out of mainstream society as they grow older. Stratification by gender is demonstrated as society guides and pressures males and females into divergent paths. Stratification by ethnicity affects every aspect of development, including education, health, place of residence, and employment. 4. Work provides many psychological benefits besides the practical benefit of income. Work provides social support and status, boosting self-esteem. For many people, employment allows generativity and is evidence of productivity, effectiveness, and independence. Some of those who keep working in late adulthood do so because they need the money, while others stay on the job because they appreciate the social recognition and self-fulfillment that work brings. Many people once believed that older adults were healthier and happier when they were employed and that retirement led to illness and death. In the 1980s, legislators outlawed mandatory retirement. The paradox is revealed by finding that since 1980, when older workers were no longer required to quit their jobs at age 65, the average age of retirement has decreased. Rather than preferring to work until they die, many older adults retire as soon as they can. Only when retirement is precipitated by poor health or fading competence does it correlate with illness. If income is adequate, retirement in every nation is more likely to make older adults happy rather than sad. An unexpected social problem has resulted from retirement of workers at relatively young ages. Some professions have too few experienced workers over age 50. Just as employment does not always bring joy, retirees are not always happy as planning is often inadequate, and married couples may disagree as to who should retire, when retirement should begin, and how their lives should be reconstructed. 5. Volunteering offers some of the advantages of paid employment, such as generativity and social connections. There are individual benefits such as better health and less depression, and benefits for society such as help in providing health, education, and other services. Empirical data finds a strong link between good health and volunteering. Steady volunteers are less likely to become depressed or sick. In some ways, late adulthood is an ideal time for continuing education. Many adults have strong intellectual curiosity as well as a wish to understand the deeper meaning of history, literature, philosophy, and other subjects. This approach to education is quite different from younger adults who want skills that will be useful on the job. Older adults are less likely to attend religious services than are the middle-aged, but faith increases with age, as do praying and other forms of eligious involvement. Many studies show that religious beliefs and practices of all kinds are positively correlated with physical and emotional health. Social scientists have studied the reasons for the connection between religion and well-being. They have found that faith encourages a healthier lifestyle, attendance at services fosters social relationships, and belief in a divine plan decreases stress by fostering reinterpretation of past problems, by reducing fear of death. In Europe as well as the United States, the elderly do not seem to be involved in political activism, but by other measures, the elderly are more politically active than people of any other age. More of them write letters to their elected representatives, vote, and identify with a political party. Many government politics affect the elderly, especially those regarding housing, pensions, prescription drugs, and medical costs. 6. Siblings, old friends, and spouses to celebrities, neighbors, and acquaintances can all be a part of one’s social convoy, especially in late adulthood. Spouses buffer each other against problems of old age, thus extending life. It is clear that personal happiness increases with the length as well as the quality of the marriage or intimate relationship. A lifetime of shared experiences brings partners closer in memories and values. 7. Another common event that long-married older adults must face is the death of their spouse. Among the current cohort of women, many have centered their lives on being a wife, mother, caregiver, and homemaker. As a result, the death if a husband means more than a loss of a mate; it means a reduction in status, income, social activities, and identity as someone’s wife. With time, many older widows come to enjoy their independence, few seeking another man. For companionship and emotional support, widows usually rely on women friends and grown children, and they typically expand their social connections after a husband’s death. However, widowers are more vulnerable. They are less comforted by their families and have fewer male friends that have lost a partner. Men typically find it difficult to seek and accept help. Elderly widowers are more likely than widows to by physically ill and socially isolated. Their risk of suicide has been found to increase. Although few widowers seek t remarry, they are far more likely to do s than widows are because they tend to be lonelier than the women and thus more strongly motivated to seek companionship, and the sex ratio is in their favor, giving them more potential partners to choose from. For the man’s mental as well as physical health, remarriage is usually beneficial. 8. Filial responsibility is the obligation of adult children to care for their aging parents. When parents need material goods, adult children often sacrifice to provide them, but emotional support is more crucial and more complex, sometimes increasing when financial help is not needed. Other elders actually resent supportive behaviors such as visiting frequently, giving presents, cleaning the refrigerator, calling the doctor, or even paying the telephone bill. Culture is crucial in determining what specific type of support people expect and who they think should provide it. In the United States, a major goal among adults is to be self-sufficient. The old would rather take care of their own needs, but if that is not possible, they would rather rely on a spouse than on a child. Adult children may be more willing to offer support than their parents are to receive it. A good relationship with successful grown children enhances a parents well-being. By contrast, a poor relationship makes life worse for everyone. Remote grandparents (distant grandparents) are emotionally distant from their grandchildren. They are esteemed elders who are honored, respected, and obeyed, expecting to get help whenever they need it. Companionate grandparents (fun-loving grandparents) entertain and spoil their grandchildren, especially in ways, or for reasons, that the parents would not. Involved grandparents are active in the day-to-day lives of their grandchildren. They live near them, see them daily, and provide substantial care. ‘ Surrogate parents raise their grandchildren, usually because the parents are unable or unwilling to do so. 9. Activities of daily life (ADLs) are actions that are important to independent living, typically identified as five tasks of self-care: eating, bathing, toileting, dressing, and transferring from a bed to a chair. The inability to perform any of these tasks is a sign of frailty. Instrumental activities of daily life (IADLs) are actions that are important to independent living and that require some intellectual competence and forethought. The ability to perform these tasks may be even more critical to self-sufficiency than ADL ability. 10. When caregiving results in resentment and social isolation, the risk of depression, poor health, and abuse (of either the frail person or the caregiver) escalates. Most family members provide adequate care despite the stress. However, abuse of the elderly person is likely if the caregiver suffers from emotional problems or substance abuse. Maltreatment ranges from direct physical attack to ongoing emotional neglect. Three distinct elements contribute to the problem: the victim, the abuser, and the community. Abuse is likely when the care receiver is a feeble person who suffers severe memory loss, when the caregiver is a drug-addicted relative, or when care occurs in an isolated place where visitors are few and far between. If any one of those conditions is absent, abuse is less likely. The typical case of elder maltreatment occurs benignly, as an outgrowth of caregiving. Benign beginnings make elder abuse difficult to identify, and family members are reluctant to notify authorities. Sometimes the caregiver becomes the victim, cursed or even attacked by the confused elderly person. As with other forms of abuse, the dependency of the victim makes prosecution difficult. 11. One common form of alternative care if assisted living, which is an arrangement that combines some of the privacy and independence of home life with some of the medical supervision of a nursing home. Skilled gerontologists consider it essential to help each resident retain independence, control over his or her decisions, and self-respect. Their efforts have resulted in new laws, which provide for limitations on the use of restraints and privacy requirements, and better practices, such as more self-management and self-choices. Both correlate with physical and mental well-being as well as a longer, happier life.

Besides this, social media has also contributed greatly to the development of international politics by increasing the knowledge of politics in different parts of the world and encouraging more young people to participate in politics. Since the invention of social media, knowledge base especially in relation to international politics has increased. Politics is a topic that interests people from all walks of life since it directly affects the affairs of all nations. This explains why political conflicts usually cause a lot of damage and literally bring all the activities to stop. Social media has led to the development of international politics since it is now possible to know what is happening in other countries within a short period. Since the development of social media, there is nothing like political secrets since they all leak out at one point (Shirkey, 2011). As a result of this, political leaders have to exercise caution in what they do or say as it may be used against them in the international community. This explains the decreasing cases of dictatorial leaderships, with the o nes which were there before being overthrown through the intervention of the international community. Besides increasing knowledge, social media also encourages people to participate in politics. Previously, politics was considered to be a thing for the old people but social media has created an interest of the same among young people. It is used as a platform to discuss issues arising in the world of politics.Advertising Looking for essay on international relations? Let's see if we can help you! Get your first paper with 15% OFF Learn More Laurie supports this by stating that â€Å"a look at twitter’s recent impact on the Iran elections, the Orange revolution in Ukraine, and even the election of Barack Obama brings out the fact that more and more young people are getting involved in politics and developing the feeling that they can make a difference† (para. 9). This explains the rise of young political aspirants who launch their campaigns in the social n etworks and using it as a platform to provide their policies to the supporters. People also use this platform to condemn wrong actions by the political leaders since they know that such information will reach the whole world. As a conclusion it is clear that the social media has played a big role in the development of international politics. More people are able to participate in politics and the media has also turned to this platform as a way of spreading news. Breaking news from one part of the world gets to the other parts in a matter of seconds and this increases the pace of intervention when needed. Before the introduction of social media, many nations especially in the sub-Saharan Africa were under dictatorial leadership and the respective media had been silenced on this. Unlike the other forms of media such as newspapers and televisions, social media can be used by anyone and the person behind the information can remain discrete (Frommer and Ortiz, 2012). This means that it h as become difficult to control political information leaking out to the international community and so many countries are now being ruled by democracy. From this, social media is credited for the advancements being witnessed in the world of international politics. Tanzanian Land Grabbing Essay Example

Tanzanian Land Grabbing Essay Example Tanzanian Land Grabbing Essay Tanzanian Land Grabbing Essay Land grabbing is a going a well-known issue worldwide that is happening persistently in Africa. Foreign investors are coming in and purchasing big sums of belongings for personal net income. These foreign investors come from a big planetary scope of geographic location. which includes the United States. Due to the assortment of investors major differences are seen between the current state of affairss in Tanzania compared to the state of affairs in Kenya ( Klopp:2000: 1 ) . Kenya’s land grabbing is chiefly focused on public market topographic points and national woods whereas Tanzanian land grabbing is focused on the agribusiness sector for Tanzania. Tanzania is looking for large-scale corporations funded by foreign investors to purchase immense parts of land in order to resign little local husbandmans from bring forthing. In recent old ages over four million estates of land have been requested by foreign investors for both Agrofuel and nutrient production in Tanzania. The issue becomes controversial because the authorities believes they are profiting from foreign investors by take downing nutrient monetary values and exciting the economic system ; while it is besides harmful because it exiles little local famers from their land forestalling their production of harvests and distilling the net incomes into commercial agriculture and personal benefit. Foreign investors and the authorities both have economic benefits from land catching. There are multiple foreign investors that have acquired land from Tanzania. such as Sun Biofuels from United Kingdom. Swedish company scenery. and Agricola from the United States. Recently the media has been chiefly interested in concentrating their attending on foreign investors in Agrisol. Agrisol is an Iowa based Investment Company that specializes in Agribusiness. The ultimate end for Agrisol is to happen underdeveloped planetary locaters that have attractive natural resources but deficiency in agribusiness engineering. farming techniques. equipment. and management ( Dan Rather Report: 2012 ) . The three positions involvement sights in Agrisol are Lugutu in Kigoma Province ( 25. 000 hour angle ) . Katumba ( 80. 317 ) hour angle. and Mishamo ( 219. 800 hour angle ) ( Dan Rather Report 2012 ) . Agrisol has late purchased the land of a refugee cantonment in Tanzania and established understanding with the Tanzanian authorities that the Burundian refugees will be forced to relocate before Agrisol will get down its big commercial agriculture. The Burundian refugees range from a sum of 160. 000 people and they have been populating at that place for decennaries. there merely mechanisms of endurance is populating off the land and the supplanting from their farms is damaging to their endurance. Agrisol sees this understanding as positive because they purchased the land for 25 cents per acre and is supported by the authorities because of the possible creative activity of occupations and finally lower nutrient monetary values ( Dan Rather Report: 2012 ) . The theoretical thought that is most good for the authorities in footings of the transmutation of Tanzania’s economic system is to transform the state by take downing nutrient monetary values and transitioning to capitalist pay labour economic system. The authorities wants to get down large-scale commercial agriculture in order to halt little local husbandmans who do non profit the authorities from free siting off the land. The Tanzanian authorities wants to eliminate the little local husbandmans so that they can travel out of the rural countries into the metropoliss in order to acquire an instruction and transform their state into a capitalist economic system. The Tanzanian people are disbelieving of this alleged economic transmutation because the foreign investors are untruthful about boosting nutrient security and making occupations are wholly unacceptable because there is no grounds to propose that it would work for the people of Tanzania or for the people who have been displaced from their land. The Tanzanian National Business Council took the enterprise to get down developing public-private partnerships. which has been a steady reoccurrence and is a authoritative instance of colonialism. and is larceny of the highest order ( 2012. US Firm ) . The public-private partnership has the end of making future assistance to Agrisol in three different types of production: larger-scale cultivation. such as nutrient grains. beef and domestic fowl production. and soy and maize production. Agrisol is on the path to establish a one hundred million dollar investing in Tanzania over the following 10 old ages. The declared purpose of the plan is to help stabilise local nutrient supplies. create occupations and economic chance for local populations. and spur investing in local substructure improvements ( 2012. US Firm ) . The authorities supports the thought that the partnership with Agrisol will be a strong foundation to set up a more successful capitalistic economic system. The major issue happening from land catching trades is the impact happening husbandmans and markets. Local husbandmans are unable to vie with the engineering that large-scale commercial farms have entree to. The little local husbandmans do most of the work with basic engineering which is drastically less advanced. some local husbandmans even go back to utilizing their custodies for seting seeds ( 2012. Tanzanian National Website ) . These local husbandmans have surrounded themselves in an country where they can last off the land and be able to sell the remainder of their excess harvests to the local market leting them to hold a sustainable income. With large-scale commercial agriculture being implemented into the economic system. these local markets will be out of concern. The government’s understanding with Agrisol. can be contradicted because it states that an exportation licence seems to deduce with the promise of consistent supply of nutrient to the Tanzanian citizens. The life of the little local husbandmans has been disregarded and the authorities is uninterested in how to assist them survivor. The understanding allows Agrisol be able to obtain a warrant from the authorities for an exportation licence that allows the uninterrupted production of nutrient from Tanzania even through Tanzania itself could be in a possible economic shortage and have deficiency of nutrient supply for local citizens. Large graduated table agriculture in Tanzania has besides caused a high hazard for possible environmental issues to originate. The most important negative factor to the environment is the complete use of the land which makes the dirt unfertile and able to turn harvests. In the yesteryear this occurred with the UK based company. Sun Biofuels. through their growing of Jatrohpha. The company finally went insolvents and lost all of their money while in the long tally the Tanzania people did non profit at all. The authorities role of province machinery ( Torahs. establishments. resources ) has changed from protection of bulk little manufacturers involvements ( as in 1970 and 80’s ) to facilitation of the few elite and foreign companies to get land from communities ( Ruhiye: 2012: Farmlandgrab. org ) . Sembuli Masasa is a male parent of seven kids. who has been farming in Katumba for over 40 old ages helps run a little babys room works for their vicinity. turning a scope of harvests from peanuts to Ananas comosuss. If US investors secure this land he and his seven kids will hold to travel and get down a new life with lone $ 200. His babys room produced 40 % of nutrient to the territory. without this babys room their vicinity will no longer hold plenty nutrient to last and survival will be a battle for the full surrounding community ( Dan Rather Report: 2012 ) . Foreign investors hope that these husbandmans will abandon their old life style and halt back uping local markets to work for immense commercial husbandmans that pay minimum pay and have inordinate working hours. When husbandmans started to work on investors plantations it decreased nutrient production on small town farms and that led to nutrient deficits. which really increased nutrient monetary values alternatively of doing the predicted lessening. Regions of land so go a nutrient shortage with no production and the citizens can so no longer afford nutrient and their wellness and opportunities of endurance becomes an progressively higher hazard. ( Ruhiye: 2012: Farmlandgrab. org ) The history of foreign investors in Tanzania is an unfortunate world for the citizens. The people who have been populating in these countries are being seeked out by foreign investors pushes them out and allows the investors to take over non merely financially but besides physically. The addition of large-scale commercial agriculture creates possible net incomes of $ 275million dollars yearly. but the benefits merely go to the single private investor instead than the full state. Even though the authorities is doing little gross from the trade it is non deserving seting little local famers and Tanzanian locals out of their places. which they have lived there all their life. The people are in poorness and can no longer populate off the land to last ; expatriating them from their land will merely do nutrient security and pandemonium because they have no where to travel and no other labour accomplishments other so agriculturally based 1s. These so called refugees have been apart of Tanzania much longer than these immense private investors and the authorities should be protecting the people of the land non expatriating them from their places and communities for a fringy net income.

The advanced practice of strength and conditioning Essay - 1

The advanced practice of strength and conditioning - Essay Example But how he ended up with a new 9.58 seconds and 19.30 seconds in both individual sprints is one big story to reckon with for a long time. Let us keep pace with some of the salient points of this one of the most stimulating, motivational stories of man and his unbroken pursuit of excelling in the field by a mere breath or few-seconds hairline. One of the focal points of the discussion in a myriad of ideas in strength and conditioning is Usain Bolt himself and how and why many were awed by his performance at one of the world’s greatest sporting events. More interestingly, Bolt himself is a man just like us. Keywords: Bolt and man, poor mechanics, velocity, excitement USAIN BOLT, THE MAIN MAN HIMSELF 3 Usain Bolt, The Main Man Himself And Will Remain Every Athlete’s Model Of Success For Years To Come Let’s begin with an explosive starting gun. This is the very foundation of all winning strides in the 100-meter dash. Energy burst with the first burst. Analysis in Cis sik (89), categorically states the need, first and foremost, of the sprinter responding without delay to the starting gun and zoom out of the starting blocks at the most preferred reaction time of 0.12 seconds. Faster reaction naturally leads to an advantage faster than the opponents. Many can take a chance in the field where Bolt is now. It was inspiring to note that Bolt himself started from scratch with his own imperfections but individually endowed with certain physical qualities just the same as any man can be. Karp (52) explicitly mentioned that a person with a lot of talent almost always outperforms a person with little talent and a lot of training. The success of Mills and Bolt supported this theory with Mills (30 ) institutionalizing the 2008 Beijing phenomena of his own admission saying Bolt is an extremely gifted athlete despite the fact that he had to recreate certain aspects of Bolt’s biomechanical deficiencies and maximise use of functional training to bolster h is bid for a new world record. The arena of world excitement and velocity was the inevitable route, with just a bit of luck, talent and perseverance and a mentor who believes without a doubt that Bolt can take off. Coach Glen Mills said so succinctly in the NSA interview (30) that when he started working with Bolt, one of the things that stood out like a sore thumb was his poor mechanics. USAIN BOLT, THE MAIN MAN HIMSELF 4 The NSA interview dug deep into the core of the molding of Usain as an athlete with such inquiry as to how Mills had weighed up his athlete’s own methods. It had gain new insights to patient mentoring and methodical training as the interview reveals that Bolt then was running behind the center of balance, thus, his forward drive negates the compelling vigor and thrust. His pose leaves a strain on his posterior notably the lower back, there was a continual pull on his hamstring, so on and so forth. But the main recipe of the preparation was developing the at hlete to accomplish all the training regimens correctly, discarding the bad habits and adapt new and effective techniques. Body position, according to Seagrave, et al (21), is distinctively three-pronged as core stabilization, postural repositioning and control and vertical alignment. Perfect execution of all three vital elements are necessary to establish the best cruising pattern. One without

Examine the reasons for the success of Microsoft and evaluate the Essay

Examine the reasons for the success of Microsoft and evaluate the impact Microsoft has had on graduate recruitment in the USA - Essay Example Currently, it boasts of a top-tier position among the top companies globally. It comes in third in ranking on the FT Global 500 list. In addition, it rakes in revenue amounting to more than $ 36 billion dollars annually (Stanek, 2006:42). 1. History The Microsoft Corporation is an American business venture dealing in the business of inventing computer software and programs, and in the manufacture of computer-related hardware (Pralahad, 2008:37). Currently, the venture’s shares are on trade at the NASDAQ stock market in New York City, in America. The conglomerate has a global presence, and owns branches and offices in more than seventy nations. Though the main idea behind its start was to produce operating systems to power the Altair 8000 computer system, the business went on to invent significant breakthroughs in the software market. The first evidence of the company’s potential to change the world was its introduction of the MS-DOS in the early 1980s. Soon after, it pr oduced the Windows system in the early 1990s. Through the dominating of the computer market base, and already enjoying a virtual solo monopoly on the global business and home-based personal computer market, it was in an adequate spot to produce software applicatios that would support its systems. The company fully exploited this opportunity, gaining vital ground in the market. This led to the venture releasing the Microsoft Office, which was a huge success at the business sector. In addition, the company also participated in the formulation of MSN, an online-based search engine and news database (Barry, 2011:113). 2. The 1980s The Microsoft Company came into being because of the idea of William Gates in conjunction with Paul Allen. Initially, the venture offered only one product. It employed only three workers, and, in its first year of business, raked in only about $ 25,000 dollars in sales. Gates and his partner had decided to base their company in Alberquque, New Mexico, in order to access the MITS Computer Company easily, which had helped in constructing their Altair microcomputer equipment. Microsoft’s initial product was the Microsoft BASIC, the then programming dialect of the Altair. The Microsoft BASIC was an improvement of BASIC, which was a mainframe computer dialect that the two partners had gotten wind of while in high school in Seattle (Shelly, 2009:97). As time went by, the company made major breakthroughs in the computer field. Not only did the company improve BASIC vastly, but it also modified other present computer languages for their use. In 1977, the company unveiled a modified version of FORTRAN, and quickly followed it with another improved version of COBOL in 1978. By the dawn of 1979, the company had successfully managed to relocate its operations to Washington. At the time, the venture boasted of about $ 3 million dollars in annual income. In addition, it had raised its employee figures to around 30 workers (Todd, 2011:67). The o perating system is a major factor of all computers. In addition to it being the lifeline of the computer, it has also been the major influential factor behind Microsoft’s success. In 1981, the company unveiled the DOS 1.0 operating system for use by the IBM computer. This move proved to be a major landmark in the company’

Wisdom Tradition and how life is best lived Essay

Wisdom Tradition and how life is best lived - Essay Example They determine whether one lived his or her life the best way or not. This has always been the way of life for communities that have been guided by the teachings of their religious books. Besides, clergymen can be used to teach a number of people in the field to bring about the desired final effect. Plato and Augustine observed that all religions in the world did share number of specific truths. Among them are the wisdom books and teachings that are used to guide the respective folders. Through the perennialism theory, the various religious groups in the world have various truths that take care of their flock’s social, intellectual, and psychological needs of a given culture over a period. A number of people that include the founders of the various religions, prophets, and philosophers have further echoed this. Despite the fact that the scriptures might oppose each other superficially, one can distinguish a common doctrine for the final purpose of human life (Brown, 88). Through Socrates and Augustine, a number of philosophers have gained insight on what is meant by wisdom tradition that has been of the great contribution to the development of the field. Plato had a clear picture of what wisdom is. He defines it as the best thing in life. Essentially, he comes up with three platonic images of wisdom to make his wisdom perception clear. The icon of leaving the cave depicts wisdom as a factor that enlightens and illuminates the mind and the nation. With its possession, one is at the verge of having a new dimension of life. The second iconic point is wisdom as the tool that cares for the heart. Primarily, it does insist on ensuring that the knowledge is put into practice (Brown, 89). Most significantly, he professes that to mean that he is ever willing to learn. One must remain committed to learn and satisfy the intrinsic

Oligopoly Structure Of Markets Beneficial To The Consumer

Oligopoly Structure Of Markets Beneficial To The Consumer (Tutor2U, 2007)An oligopoly market is a market structure which shares a large percentage of the market by a few firms. It results in a high degree of market concentration. An important characteristic of an oligopoly is interdependence between firms. Being interdependence means that each firm must be careful of the likely reaction of other firms in the market when making pricing and investment decision (Tutor2U, 2007). In addition, oligopoly market is barriers to entry and non price competition. It means by increasing market share without changing price, which can take the form of persuasive advertising, quality of service, loyalty schemes, free gift and packaging (The student room, 2005). According to the characteristic of oligopoly above, this is shown in the UK supermarket industry, as the diagram shown (Tutor2U, 2007); there are three main supermarkets which are Tesco, Sainsburys and Asda. The main supermarkets are now having more than three quarters which is 72% of the grocery ma rket. For the purpose of this essay, it will be a discussion about the market structure of the UK supermarket whether it provides some significant benefits for consumers. There are only few supermarkets with similar products in oligopoly market. Because most food manufacture will supply to the entire supermarket, such as Kelloggs and Heinz (Just food 2010). The supermarket produces its own generic or own-label goods for some products. They have produced their own-label product ranges from food to some basic cares. For example, Tesco planed to extend its Finest to include a range of homecare. Own-label sales generate 38% of Sainsburys total revenue, with its Taste The Difference premium range estimated to contribute between à ¯Ã‚ ¿Ã‚ ¡200m and à ¯Ã‚ ¿Ã‚ ¡300m. However, many of these generic products are made at the same factory, and are simply labelled differently for the different stores, so this is a false differentiation of products. This means that all of the products available for sale in the different supermarkets are the same, which is one of the features of an oligopoly (Tutor2U, 2007). Therefore, consumers do not have any choices because the re are only few big supermarkets in the market, which are selling the same product with different package. It is a negative side for consumers. In addition, the firms charge the same price in an oligopoly (PEOI, 2000). However, the UK supermarket suppliers have the same products are supplied to the firms. Therefore, the cost of all the supermarkets will be the same as each other. For example, the Cravendale Fresh Filtered Semi Skimmed Milk was priced as à ¯Ã‚ ¿Ã‚ ¡1.05 in Sainsburys. However, Asda sold it as 86p (Mysupermarket Insights, 2000). All in all, this theory of oligopoly of supermarket structure can provide some benefits to consumers as they can have a more valuable price by comparing different price of the main supermarkets. However, the products which sole in the supermarkets are all very similar price. Firms compete on price in an oligopoly market. Therefore, they can become a price maker and making higher profit. This feature can result in the price wars where one supermarket has price cuts in its goods and other firm will follow this situation (Wisegeek, 2003). For instance, Morrisons has fallen to 57p/kg and 59p/kg of bananas. After Morrisons promotion, Tesco has also made some price cuts, worth à ¯Ã‚ ¿Ã‚ ¡1.2bn. Lastly, Asde sells two million kilograms of bananas a week by charging 46p/kg, which is the lowest price in 14 years (Mailonline, 2000). The price competition can be shown in the Kinked Demand Curve (Economics help, 2003). If the price raise from (Economics help, 2003)P1 to P, then firms will lose a large share of the market because they become uncompetitive. If firms cut the price down, firms can gain a larger market share. However, other firms will cut price too. Therefore demand is inelastic for a price cut. In a price war, Tesco had a price cut which was between 3% and 25% discount promotion. This could result in increasing 12% market share in eight weeks. Therefore, consumers can cost less by having this price competition as there are many different promotion and price war which should provide benefit to consumers. Moreover, supermarkets need to compete other ways besides price. It means supermarkets should increase market share without changing prices. This can be shown in persuasive advertising, quality of service, loyalty schemes, free gifts, packaging and temporary price reductions, which are required to attract consumers (The student room, 2005). Therefore, these factors are aimed to bind consumers to particular supermarkets for reasons other than price. Firstly, according to research data from Nielsen media Research, Sainsburys spent some à ¯Ã‚ ¿Ã‚ ¡9.97m compared to Tesco which spent à ¯Ã‚ ¿Ã‚ ¡7,3m. However, with Asda spending some à ¯Ã‚ ¿Ã‚ ¡4.23m, the two giants of the UK supermarkets still highly cost in advertising (CBI Interactive Inc, 2000). The more advertising is shown to consumers, the more possibility to attract and give information to the consumers. Secondly, research by Baruch Colleges business school in the US has found that, western consumers are more prefer to gifts th at reword loyalty and patronage than pure luck or blanket rewards. So, consumers may feel happy to spend money by getting discount. Also, the bigger the discount of the loyalty card, the better attractive of consumers. Consequently, as there are also some other factors that can influence consumers in an oligopoly market. It means consumers can gain different benefits from this non-price competition between firms. Consequently, although consumers do not have many choices as there are only few big supermarkets, and prices are identical in some ways, consumers still can have benefit which is provided by oligopoly market. As consumers can have lower price product by the price competition. In addition, the interdependent firms compete in other ways, for example, discounting, advertising, and quality of service, which are give consumers a more valuable consideration. In this case, the oligopoly market structure creates a situation that is beneficial to the consumers.

The Outcast in Mark Twains The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn Essay

Life as an Outcast in Huckleberry Finn One of the themes that has been addressed by writers since the beginning of civilization is the issue of the split between living in society and living by oneself. We see this in that peculiarly American genre of books known as "road books", in which the protagonist embarks upon a long journey or period of time away from society in order to "find themselves." One of the quintessential examples of this type of book is Mark Twain's novel The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, technically a "river book" rather than a "road book". In it, as in many "road books" before and since, spending a long period of time away from society allows the protagonist to see the difference between the rules of mainstream society and the freedom of the wilderness. Through his journey, Twain illustrates the futility of living within society as contrasted to the freedom of being an outcast. It is interesting that Huck's morals are much stronger when he is on the river than on the shore. Huck's "attacks of conscience" only occur on the river. For ex...

Buyers usually do research before obtaining this product by looking up on the internet or get reviews from people who have used this product previously, they would spend quite a long time looking for the product. There are two substitutes products, Davidoff sensual essence and sea rose Cool Water which is also for women, they would accept the product since most of the elements used in the fragrances are not much different. The first aroma was launched in 1984, the brand has become one of the most widespread perfume brands and it has been a worldwide bestseller for over 20 years. Cool Water is different from others because wearers usually explain that these faience’s make them feel like they have just marched out of an exhilarating bath or aroused from a long swim in the ocean. Cool Water derives in a rectangular semi metallic blue tall box and for label Davidoff is above the scent title: Cool Water.1.2 Current PricingDavidoff Cool Water is in a competitive market situation and the product is also a value determiner because many customers and retailers offer a wide variety of prices. Suppliers distinguish their proposals because there are many online shops proposing at different prices and many retail shops selling at extraordinary amounts to gain consumers attention. When consumers buy more or less of a Davidoff Cool Water, if the price increases then the quantity decreases a large number and vice versa. A rise or fall in price will not drastically affect the increase in price of demand and then the quantity reduces down slightly and vice versa.Business costs play a very vital role in defining the pri ce because they have to validate that they are making sure that they are giving the consumer the best price for them to be able to cover their production cost and make some profit out of it, so that they would be able to produce more products without facing any problems like shortage of money to manufacture more perfumes or other products. The current price is usually about the same as the competitors by setting the price not lower or higher than their opponents offer price so that the consumers would see the less difference in price and purchase from the shop that they would like it buy from. Some consumers purchase the product based on the pricing and some based on the product image, features and quality. The behaviors of consumers are based on many different purposes such as individual, emotional, communal and situational and when they purchase more often they become loyal customers. Most of the female consumers do not really care about the price of the product but what they mainl y focus on is the luxury brand that will offer more individuality, rank and hedonic value than non-luxury trademarks so those types of buyers are willing to pay at any amount to get the product that they want. On the other hand, there are some people who will only buy the creation if the product has high quality, unique features and presentable image because those types of consumers believe that the price that they pay should be worth giving for it.1.3 Current DistributionShoppers cannot purchase the produce straightforwardly from the industry that create it because on their official website they do not sell products but they only distribute their products to stores located in many different countries and cities which allows the buyers to have more chances of buying their product from stores near their places. In Singapore, Consumers can purchase this produce at Isetan, Tang plaza, Metro Paragon and Takashimaya shopping malls that are all located at Orchard Road. Find a Reactions Final Temperature With Specific Heat

Find a Reaction's Final Temperature With Specific Heat This example problem demonstrates how to calculate the final temperature of a substance when given the amount of energy used, the mass and initial temperature. Problem 300 grams of ethanol at 10  °C is heated with 14640 Joules of energy. What is the final temperature of the ethanol? Useful Information: The specific heat of ethanol is 2.44 J/g ·Ã‚ °C. Solution Use the formula q mcΔT Where q Heat Energym Massc Specific HeatΔT Change in temperature. 14640 J (300 g)(2.44 J/g ·Ã‚ °C)ΔT Solve for ΔT: ΔT 14640 J/(300 g)(2.44 J/g ·Ã‚ °C)ΔT 20  °CΔT Tfinal - TinitialTfinal Tinital ΔTTfinal 10  °C 20  °CTfinal 30  °C Answer:  The final temperature of the ethanol is 30  °C. Final Temperature After Mixing When you mix together two substances with different initial temperatures, the same principles apply. If the materials dont chemically react, all you need to do to find the final temperature is to assume that both substances will eventually reach the same temperature. Problem Find the final temperature when 10.0 grams of aluminum at 130.0  °C mixes with 200.0 grams of water at 25  °C. Assume no water is lost as water vapor. Solution Again, you use q mcΔT, except you assume qaluminum qwater and solve for T, which is the final temperature. You need to look up the specific heat values (c) for aluminum and water. This solution uses 0.901 for aluminum and 4.18 for water: (10)(130 - T)(0.901) (200.0)(T - 25)(4.18)T 26.12  °C

Mandatory Reporting Is a Legal Requirement Essay Example

Mandatory Reporting Is a Legal Requirement Essay Example Mandatory Reporting Is a Legal Requirement Essay Mandatory Reporting Is a Legal Requirement Essay Mandatory reporting is a legal requirement, in state statute or regulation, for nurses to report an occurrence or individual, including another nurse, when the public is at risk. Mandatory reporting is enacted when the interest of public protection requires state-enforced regulation. This article offers guidance to help nurses better understand their roles and responsibilities in mandatory reporting. What Is Mandatory to Report? In addition to reporting of nurses by other nurses, states seek to protect at-risk individuals by requiring health professionals to divulge suspicions about behaviors such as abuse and neglect. There is a wide range of interpretation from state to state as to how vulnerable situations are identified, which states mandate reporting, and who is required to report. All states require reporting of child abuse, for example, but only a few states require reporting of domestic violence against a man or woman who is not classified as a child or elder. Mandatory Reporting Law in Your State The details regarding mandatory reporting of nurses can be found through the licensing board for nurses in your state. A link to all boards of nursing can be accessed through the  National Council of State Boards of Nursing  (NCSBN). A note: some nurses are licensed under a health commission, department of health, or other type of umbrella agency, which is also listed on the NCSBN Website. Links and phone numbers for reporting child abuse can be found through the Child Welfare Information Gateway sponsored by the  U. S. Department of Health and Human Services. Their state-by-state list is updated regularly. State-specific details for reporting elder abuse are available at the  U. S. Administration on Agings National Center on Elder Abuse  Website. Child abuse. The Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act (CAPTA) was passed in 1974. This federal law defines the parameters under which state law must provide regulations mandating child abuse reporting by professionals. Some states, such as New York, have responded by mandating coursework in detecting and reporting child abuse for all health professionals as part of licensing requirements. According to CAPTA, child abuse/neglect is defined as follows: Any recent act or failure to act on the part of a parent or caretaker, which results in death, serious physical or emotional harm, sexual abuse, or exploitation, or an act or failure to act which presents an imminent risk of serious harm. To comply with federal law, all states have some form of regulation that requires health professionals to report child abuse/neglect to the appropriate agency. Elder abuse. Elder abuse is an umbrella term that encompasses physical, sexual, emotional, or financial abuse of an elderly, frail individual. All states have reporting laws for health professionals who encounter elder abuse, neglect, or self-neglect,  but reporting is not mandated by every state. Colorado law, for example strongly urges and suggests that a report should be made but does not mandate such a report. Even when reporting is mandated, health professionals infrequently report abuse of an elder. Physicians often fail to report abuse because of concerns about conflict and loss of trust in the patient-provider relationship. Physicians have also voiced concerns about malpractice and personal liability if a report of abuse turns out to be ungrounded. Domestic violence. State law varies widely regarding the duty of health professionals to report domestic or interpersonal violence. Two states, Kentucky and California, mandate that health care professionals report domestic violence injuries to police, whether or not the patient consents to the report. This has generated many studies exploring the impact of mandated reporting on survivors of physical or domestic abuse. In one study, survivors overwhelmingly asserted that reporting should not be mandatory until a number of changes are made in the system to promote victims safety. Other Types of Mandatory Reporting by Health Professionals In addition to the above examples, state law may require nurses to report injuries resulting from a weapon, high blood alcohol levels, impaired driving, communicable disease, and threats to harm self or others. There is also a trend toward requiring healthcare professionals to report errors. The federal Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Act of 2005 establishes a framework in which healthcare providers report medical errors to a certified patient safety organization, which analyzes the aggregate data and proposes measures to eliminate medical errors. Some states have enacted requirements that organizations report serious adverse events, such as wrong-site surgeries and medication errors resulting in death or disability. If an organization is required to report such events, then individuals who practice at the organization will no doubt be required to report these incidents as well. Although a comprehensive discussion of all mandatory reporting law is beyond the scope of this article, it is recommended that nurses place more emphasis on reporting obligations in their initial or continuing education. Administrators,  educators, and regulators should also become more informed about mandatory reporting by nurses. [pic]

Republic of Gilead Essay Example for Free

Republic of Gilead Essay Every person goes through various experiences in life which at times are unique or have some similarities to other occurrences somewhere else. In my case, I have gone through a social experience similar to that depicted in the â€Å"The Handmaid’s Tail† by Margaret Atwood. This experience occurred when I was serving in the military. In the Handmaid’s tale, a dystopian Republic of Gilead in its quest for a supposedly superior society resulted to a society that sacrificed and undermined of women’s rights. In this society, the rich and powerful were favored, while the ordinary people were suppressed. As a matter of my fate, all men in Korea have to serve in the military for two years. During this time, they endure not only a lot of training but also a life with seniors in the barracks. Just like in this tale, the Korean military is an organized functional society with very strict rules. In addition, the military has its barracks based away from the cities where officers live in isolation. Usually, same squad members live together in a barrack which called â€Å"life house†. There are four classes of soldier who live together in a single life house. This composed of a sergeant, corporal, private first, and a private. I belonged to a squad which followed to the letter a strong set of rules and regulations which were based on the rank of each class. These rules were observed regardless of time, place and situation. Usually, almost all squads have their own traditional conditions and rules based on the class. In my squad, lower class had to obey higher class whatever they ask nom matter how annoying it might be. Additionally, there are some restrictions and conditions what we could do or can not do based on the class. For example, a private can not watch the T. V, make a call to a friend, smoke a cigarette, or even go to â€Å"PX† which is a cafeteria where soldiers do buy some snacks without permission from a higher rank8ing officer. These rules are followed even when privates have free time until when a private attains the rank of a sergeant. There are many forms of restrictions he had to endure which curtails the conduct soldier making it discriminative from those of higher class. When a private becomes a private first, he can smoke a cigarette, and make a call by himself without the permission of a higher ranking officer. When he becomes a corporal, he does not need to get permission to watch a T. V, and go to â€Å"PX† any more. Becoming a sergeant is just like becoming what I can literally call â€Å"the God of a barracks†. This is because they do not have to participate in anything that happens in a life house. This includes activities such as cleaning clothes, and keeping house tidy. His work is only to carry out inspection of life house. As a matter of fact, a sergeant is the highest ranked soldier. Since he has little time left in the army, he is excused from almost every duty that involves manual work. Usually, private and private first do everything under corporate’s direction and inspection by platoon leader who is a career soldier before soldiers go to sleep. Restriction is not only annoying thing for the soldiers but also responsibilities which reduces as they are move up to higher classes. The highest one usually does nothing but they can order anything they want to be done for them by officers of lower classes. The highest one is like the commander in the Gilead society. The corporal is similar to the eyes in the Gilead society who usually announce the sergeant’s message and supervise lowers as they carry out he specified orders. Next, private first who is similar to the aunt class in the Gilead society supervise and teach privates and do the chores together. On the other hand, privates who are similar to handmaids in the Gilead society do not have any right for themselves. They just follow what those in higher classes ask them to do. This includes cleaning all of clothes belonging to officers of the higher classes, life house, boots, and also ironing uniform. This weird and unfair rules and conditions are handed down year after year. When I became a sergeant, I cancelled some of these weird rules because I had become sick of theme and I wanted to form a better society. At the same time, the minister of National Defense of Korea ordered me to remove some of those bad habits because they had been known to cause many troubles. These oppressive rules made many officers to commit suicides Very often in the Korean army. As a result of these changes, nowadays usually almost all soldiers in Korea have same rights and privileges and it is very hard to find a higher ranking officer ordering lower officers like it used to be in the past.

Salem Witch Trials V. The McCarthy Hearings :: essays research papers

The McCarthy Hearings are referred to as "witch-hunts" because of their similarity to the Salem witch trials. The McCarthy hearings are trials in which Senator Joe McCarthy accuses government employees of being Communists. He exaggerates and exploits the evidence and ruins many reputations just as the girls do in the Salem witch trials. The accused, in both cases, are used as scapegoats for society’s problems and the only way to escape direct punishment is to admit to guilt.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚     Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Joseph McCarthy and the girls from Salem begin to accuse people of being either Communists or witches to obtain, something they crave, power. No one actually has hard evidence to support these accusations, including the accusers. The more people they accuse the bigger the lies get. The girls in Salem begin to cry out that these witches are sending their spirits on them. The even go to the extent to start shivering, passing out, and mocking the accused as they walk into the room. Abigail Williams also sabotages, Elizabeth Proctor, one of the women she accuses of being a witch. When Abigail witnesses Marry Warren, the Proctors servent and one of the accusers, making a puppet and sticking a needle in it’s stomach for safe keeping Abigail knew it would be taken to her home at the Proctors. So she decides to claim she was stuck with a pin by Elizabeth Proctor through the technique of voodoo and Elizabeth is arrested that night for witchery. As for McCarthy he accuses anyone he sees. He even began to question the integrity of George C. Marshall and even President Eisenhower. He also, started an investigation on the Army. He never gave any kind of reliable evidence, he just started pointing fingers.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚     Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Instead of trying to fix the problems in their society they blame the problems on something else so they won‘t have to deal with them. In 1692 a few girls got sick, they blame it on witch craft instead of thinking that maybe they were faking it or they got some kind of unknown sickness. In 1950 people begin to think differently than one another and have new ideas, people blame it on Communists instead of embracing the new ideas and learning and politely debating them.
